Bio: For nearly 40 years Alan worked in the reinsurance industry both in the UK and overseas. In his spare time Alan has been a volunteer with handicapped teenagers and adults and raised funds for such organisations while running marathons in his younger days. Since retiring in 2016 Paula and Alan set up the Luigi Francescon Trust to support organisations such as the Fountain Centre in Guildford which assist cancer sufferers and their families. Staying physically fit is important to Alan and he is keen to roll up his sleeves and get involved in Cranleigh’s new leisure centre project and work alongside Liz Townsend and other health and well-being organisations across the village to promote the health benefits of regular exercise.
