Khalil Yousuf

Khalil Yousuf

The lack of fairness must end

Khalil is a solicitor by profession specialising in Commercial and Energy law. Among other things, he has advised on offshore wind farm developments, environmental impacts of offshore decommissioning and large-scale solar power plants. He has for many years had an office in Coxbridge Business Park, Farnham.

Khalil’s deeply held passion for public service took shape while he read law at University.

By the time he qualified as a solicitor in 2001, he was already spending many regular volunteer hours helping to solve problems for those most in need.

His commitment to serving the community has continued uninterrupted. During Covid19, he provided nearly 700 hours of free legal advice.

Everybody is backing someone with a proven track record - Khalil Yousuf - to be our new MP.

Among other voluntary roles, he serves as a Trustee and Board Member for Charity Walk for Peace and is Chairman of Lawyers for Humanity.  He describes the core values that drive him as justice and the service of the community.

While he was still a student, Khalil’s father passed away after a short battle with cancer. In memory of their father, he and his younger brother, now a GP living in Bordon, worked hard to complete their education and qualify into the professions their parents had hoped for them.

Khalil’s mission as the Prospective Liberal Democrat MP for Farnham & Bordon is to fight for a fair deal for all constituents.
He's got the skills, values and experience to be a first-class MP for Farnham & Bordon.

We need more MPs like Khalil - people who share our values and deliver real change.

Many people are suffering greatly because they can’t afford to pay for food, energy bills, or their housing costs. When they get sick, they can’t get a GP appointment in a reasonable time or a swiftly dispatched ambulance in an emergency.

Khalil is already working hard on issues, from fighting fossil-fuel drilling in the Surrey hills to investing in our high streets.

New social housing is being built under Paul's watch to high standards - sustainable, zero-carbon and rented at affordable rates. He's campaigning for better funding for local government and reformed council tax bands to pay for essential local services.

As your MP, Khalil will fight to cut waiting times for GPs and dentists, fight to help families struggling with the cost of living and fight to protect our beautiful area from sewage dumping and fossil fuel drilling.

Khalil said: "Hard working people can’t afford to buy or rent a home and education funding in schools and colleges has been cut so much, that many teachers are finding it almost impossible to do their jobs."

"More than 8 out of 10 burglaries in our constituency are unsolved."

"And the climate crisis worsens by the day with no meaningful efforts to address it."

It's time that this new constituency of Farnham & Bordon got a fairer deal and a new MP whose actions match their words.

Time is running out for this failing Conservative Government and it's only the Liberal Democrats locally who can challenge them here.

Labour and Green voters know that with a record of beating the Conservatives in local elections, a vote for the Liberal Democrats and Khalil Yousuf will be a vote for a progressive MP.

Yes, I'm backing Khalil!

Let Khalil know that you'll be supporting him and the Liberal Democrats at the General Election on 4th July. With your support at the ballot box, we hope to win a progressive and forward-looking MP in Westminster.
