Where are the promised "More police for safer streets"?

WLD
Surrey Police

On the doorstep, one issue which you continue to bring up as a source of concern is the lack of visible policing in Farnham. So, Theresa Meredith-Hardy, one of our local activists and Surrey County Council candidate, has written to the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend to highlight this issue. When we spoke with a trainee officer in Farnham the other day, they said the problem was that they were so short staffed they only had the resources for reactive policing. A recent BBC news story suggested that policing is likely to be cut further due to the financial deficit in Surrey, so it is important we show that funds definitely shouldn't be cut locally as we already don't have enough police!

We will keep you updated if we hear back.
