I’m Mark Merryweather, a local Liberal Democrat who has called Farnham home for nearly 20 years. Since 2019, I’ve been honoured to serve on Farnham Town and Waverley Borough Councils, always prioritising the needs of our local community. I’ve championed better infrastructure, such as securing Farnham’s new GP practice, and worked to preserve and enhance our cherished greenspaces, including Tice’s Meadow. I’ve also stood firm against unsustainable developments that threaten our environment and way of life.

With decades of international business experience, I bring a focus on competence and accountability to public service. As Waverley’s finance portfolio-holder, I’ve successfully navigated our finances through the challenges of Covid and the cost-of-living crisis. Collaboration is at the heart of my approach, and I’m proud to have worked across political divides and with diverse stakeholders to deliver real results for our community.
